Walking Tours
The best way to really explore a city is to do it on foot, so that's why a Walking Tour can be a great option. You get to see the buildings in closer detail, can ask questions along the way and it gives you an opportunity to really get a feel for the city.
The tours are taken at a comfortable pace and, while good weather is preferred, walking tours can be taken in all conditions.

Here are some of my most popular itineraries:
Maritime and World Heritage SiteThis walking tour introduces you to the maritime history of Liverpool, taking in the Albert Dock, the location of the ‘pool’, the UNESCO World Heritage site at the Pier Head and then heads into the business district to view the Town Hall and the location of Liverpool’s castle.
The itinerary also takes in the original seven streets of the town and the building which played a key role in the outcome of the Second World War. The tour finishes in Mathew Street, where you find the world-famous Cavern Club, which still plays music from The Beatles. Tour duration: 1.5 - 2 hours |
Two Cathedrals and a Street called HopeLiverpool has two amazing Cathedrals and they are joined by a street called Hope Street! The itinerary takes an internal visit to both the neo gothic Liverpool Cathedral and the 1960’s Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ The King.
Walking along Hope Street from one Cathedral to the other, you will see the Art College attended by John Lennon and the high school where Paul McCartney and George Harrison were both pupils. In addition, you will see a pub described as the most decorative in the country and, for reasons which will become obvious, you might even be invited to view the gentlemen’s toilets! Tour duration: 1.5 - 2 hours |
Ale TrailLiverpool has some amazing pubs, ranging from those with an old maritime history to the Gin Palaces of the late nineteenth century. The itinerary for this tour depends very much on the time you have, how many pubs you wish to visit and where you would like to start and end the tour.
Tour duration: 2 hours (minimum) |
In the Footsteps of The BeatlesThis tour will take you from Hope Street to the 'Cavern Quarter' of Mathew Street. You will re-live the early days of Merseybeat, see the Liverpool College of Art, the Liverpool Institute High School for Boys and the two magnificent Cathedrals.
Tour duration: 2 hours |
