Paul's background

My professional background is in conferences, corporate events and major gift fundraising, having worked at two of Liverpool's Universities. This has given me a wealth of experience of working with senior executives, company Chairmen and high profile visitors to the city.

I have undertaken several consultancy roles linked to the visitor industry, and I am currently Chair of The Association of Liverpool Tour Guides, serving on several industry groups.

During my time in the University sector, I also served as Chairman of a national marketing organisation for the university sector.

I have also been involved in the design and delivery of several training programmes, including training of Beatles Guides, International Visitor Hosts and RIBA Guides.

In 2014 I became the first individual Tour Guide in the whole of the UK to be awarded the Visit England Quality Assured Tour accreditation
